Sarasota is home to the Van Wezel, Ringling Museum, the historical Ca’ d'Zan Mansion, Asolo Theatre, Players Theater, Florida Studio Theatre, Black Troupe Theatre, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Sarasota Opera, the Circus Arts Conservatory, the Sarasota Ballet, Jazz Club of Sarasota, Sarasota Classic Car Museum and so much more. Sarasota offers a Youth Sailing Squadron program and you will find rowing offered as a competitive sport. Kayaking and paddle boarding are sports enjoyed because of the smooth water in the bay and our wonderful mangroves. In the heart of the gulf coast, we have access to nearly 40 miles of coastline, and a lovely annual average temperature of 72 degrees! Sarasota has their own international airport and is located within an hour from another two international airports and one major seaport, giving you the choice of options for transportation and travel. There are 29 golf courses in Sarasota and a total of 93 courses near Sarasota. Sarasota is boasting a new indoor Pickleball Club that is being built. Ringling College, New College and USF-Sarasota Manatee offer many degree programs.
